In order to properly prescribe and make a pair of orthotics for your individual need our doctors will perform a biomechanical evaluation. Watch you walk, bend and stand. Assess the nature of your ankles and feet and whether an orthotic will be helpful for your situation. If our doctors recommend an orthotic for you, then a foam impression of your feet will be taken, which will send to a lab. The lab will scan the cast and make a reverse mold of your foot and then build your orthotic off of this cast.
Custom orthotics are a medical necessity and must be worn on a day to day basis to be effective. If you have a pair of orthotics which you can only wear in one pair of shoes or are uncomfortable they aren’t helping you at all. The pair of orthotics you have in your drawer are not correcting your problem!
